Winnebago Historical Society to celebrate “125 Years of Christmas” at Mansion Museum Sunday

The Winnebago Historical Society is inviting the public to a holiday celebration this Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Mansion Museum in Forest City.

The event marks “125 Years of Christmas” at the historic home, a 1900 banker’s residence that will be decorated with more than 30 Christmas trees and seasonal decorations representing different decades.

Organizers say there will be music, food, and time to visit and share memories of Christmas past.

Visitors will also be able to browse a selection of new local history books, which organizers say could make a gift idea for someone who is hard to buy for.

The Winnebago Historical Society and Heritage Park of North Iowa are also wishing everyone a Merry Christmas.
