Gas Prices Continue to Fall Locally

As the holidays approach, area travelers are benefitting from lower gas prices. A GasBuddy survey reveals the average price is now down to $2.42 a gallon. Compared to last year, prices are down 35.4 cents per gallon. The same survey stated that prices have fallen 36.2 cents per gallon from a month ago.
Gas prices in some parts of the state are at $1.99 while the highest price was $3.69. Locally, prices ranged from $2.88 a gallon to $2.59. Prices are expected to fall even further before the end of the year as the price of crude is now $55 a barrel.
The price for diesel has also fallen by 4.3 cents to $3.57 a gallon.
