More than 1,100 Students Earn Academic Honors at NIACC For Fall Term

North Iowa Area Community College is recognizing strong academic achievement from students across the region and around the world.
NIACC officials announced that 1,109 students have been named to the President’s List and Dean’s List for the 2025 Fall Term. The honored students represent 106 Iowa communities, 14 states outside of Iowa, and 20 countries beyond the United States.
Students named to the President’s List earned a 3.5 to 4.0 grade point average while completing at least six semester hours during the fall term. Those recognized on the Dean’s List achieved a 3.25 to 3.49 GPA with the same credit requirement.
NIACC officials say the wide geographic reach of the honorees reflects the college’s role as both a regional and international education hub, serving students from across northern Iowa as well as neighboring states and overseas.
The lists include students from many north Iowa communities, including Mason City, Clear Lake, Charles City, Forest City, Osage, Lake Mills, Garner, Northwood, St. Ansgar, Rockford, and dozens of other towns throughout the region.
Complete lists of students named to the President’s List and Dean’s List are organized by hometown and are available through North Iowa Area Community College.
Founded in 1918, NIACC is a nationally recognized two-year college serving approximately 3,000 career and transfer students each year. The college has been recognized by the Aspen Institute as one of the nation’s leading community colleges.
