Wright County Fair Wins Blue Ribbon Honor

The Wright County Fair in Eagle Grove has been named the North Central District Blue Ribbon Fair Award winner at the Association of Iowa Fairs Convention in Des Moines.

The Association recognizes top fairs from districts across Iowa each year, judging entries on innovation, organization, safety, and community impact. Wright County Fair officials were represented at the awards banquet Friday, December 12th, with nine board members and the fair manager in attendance, along with several spouses.

The Blue Ribbon Fair Award honors fairs that excel in programming, community involvement, youth opportunities, agricultural education, and overall operations. The Wright County Fair was recognized for its commitment to celebrating agriculture, supporting youth exhibitors, and providing strong entertainment and educational experiences for fairgoers.

Fair Manager Tricia Rosendahl says the award reflects the hard work of the fair board, volunteers, sponsors, exhibitors, and community supporters, adding that the fair “truly reflects the pride and spirit of our community.”

The Wright County Fair is held each year in Eagle Grove and draws families and visitors from across the region. Organizers are also encouraging everyone to mark their calendars for July 7th through 12th, 2026 — when the Wright County Fair celebrates 100 years at its current location, with the theme “A Century of Celebrations.”
