Area farmers and landowners can take advantage of a beneficial program put on by the Iowa State Extension Service. Worth County ISU Extension Specialist Dennis Johnson highlighted the regional event.
There will be a number of speakers involved in the program disseminating valuable information on a number of topics. Johnson stated that the morning starts with a well known area speaker.
Issues such as the weather will be discussed according to Johnson.
Farmers who are looking for better techniques on farm management will benefit from another featured speaker.
Other issues such as nitrates in water, insects, weed control, and sulfur usage will be addressed.
Registration is coming up quickly according to Johnson.
Johnson stated that there were around 150 attendees to last year’s event.
