Applications Open For More Than $700,000 in CFNEIA Scholarships

The Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa (CFNEIA) has opened applications for its 2026 scholarship program, offering students the chance to share in more than $700,000 in scholarship funding to support their educational goals.
Applications are due by 8 p.m. on March 11, and are available online through CFNEIA’s scholarship portal.
The CFNEIA scholarship program supports a wide range of students, including high school seniors, current college students, and adult learners pursuing higher education. In 2025, the foundation awarded 243 scholarships, with recipients receiving an average of more than $3,000 each.
Students can access the eligibility checklist and application by visiting www.cfneia.org/scholarships. The common application requires basic personal and academic information, an academic transcript, a summary of extracurricular activities, an essay, and a letter of recommendation. Some scholarships may require additional materials, which will be outlined during the application process. All required materials must be submitted through CFNEIA’s online system by the March 11 deadline.
Scholarships are awarded based on a variety of criteria, including financial need, academic achievement, field of study, and community involvement, allowing the program to serve students with diverse backgrounds and educational paths.
Scholarship selections will be finalized in May, with award notifications sent to recipients in June.
Students seeking additional information about scholarship opportunities can contact Staci Mueller, Director of Scholarship Impact, at 319-243-1359 or by email at [email protected].
CFNEIA encourages eligible students to apply and take advantage of this opportunity to help fund their education for the coming year.
