Riverhawk Girls Bowling Sweeps Roosevelt Behind Big Individual Performances

The Riverhawk girls bowling program turned in a dominant performance Monday night, sweeping Des Moines Roosevelt in both varsity and junior varsity competition.
The Riverhawk varsity squad improved to 6-2 on the season with a convincing 2,674-1,787 victory over Roosevelt (2-6). The team total marked the highest overall score produced by the Riverhawks during the current coaching tenure.
Kylie Novak led the way with a pair of standout games, rolling scores of 224 and 226 for a career-high total of 450. Emily Bailey also reached a career milestone, posting games of 190 and 163 to finish with a 353 series. Abri Collins added a season-best performance, rolling 157 and 197 for a total of 354.
Grace Wilson contributed a steady 341 series with games of 182 and 159, while Madison Hughes followed with a 324 total (157, 167). Raeanna Traurig rounded out the varsity scoring with games of 141 and 134 for a 275 series.
The Riverhawk junior varsity team continued its strong season as well, improving to 7-1 with a decisive 1,722-848 win over Roosevelt.
Brianna Noling delivered the highlight performance of the night, rolling a 237 game — the highest individual game by any Riverhawk bowler this season — and finishing with a career-high series of 403 after adding a 166 in her second game. Graceleigh Bolinger also posted a career-best series, scoring 135 and 153 for a total of 288.
Aubrey Lingbeek added a 231 series with games of 108 and 123, while Lily Rath contributed games of 96 and 107 for a total of 288.
With strong depth at both levels and multiple bowlers posting personal bests, the Riverhawks continue to build momentum as the season progresses.
