Community Celebrates Third Home Dedication in Madison Heights Development

Last night was a celebration filled with joy, gratitude, and a strong sense of community as the Kmoch family officially received the keys to their new home in the Madison Heights Development. The home dedication marked the third Habitat for Humanity home completed in the neighborhood and welcomed a family of eight into a place they can finally call home. 🏡🔑

Friends, relatives, school teachers, fellow Habitat partner families, future neighbors, and community supporters gathered to honor this important milestone. The evening was marked by smiles, laughter, and heartfelt moments that reflected the collective effort behind the project and the impact of community support.

The dedication ceremony included moments of faith and reflection, with Scripture readings emphasizing wisdom, shelter, and God’s presence in the home. Each room of the house was blessed, underscoring the hope and intention poured into every space. One especially moving moment came when Ellie Kmoch sang “House of the Lord,” accompanied by Aaron Kmoch on the keyboard and Mrs. Betsy Kirby on guitar—filling the home with music, gratitude, and praise.

As the Kmoch family was presented with the keys to their new home, the room erupted in cheers. 🎉 The moment represented the culmination of a journey defined by perseverance, teamwork, and hope—not only for the family, but for everyone who helped make the home possible.

Special thanks were extended to Grace United Methodist Church, which gifted a custom cleaning kit to the family, and to the North Iowa Quilters Guild, whose members hand-crafted and donated beautiful quilts for each member of the Kmoch family.
