Forest City Athletics Hall of Fame Committee Accepting Nominations for 2026 Class

FOREST CITY — The Forest City School District is now accepting nominations for its Athletics Hall of Fame, an honor that recognizes former athletes, coaches, teams, administrators and patrons who have made significant contributions to Forest City athletics.
Nominations for the 2026 Athletics Hall of Fame Class are due Feb. 15, 2026.
Nomination forms are available through the district’s Athletics Hall of Fame page in both an online format and as a downloadable form. Paper forms can also be picked up at the Forest City School District office. District officials note nominations will only be considered if a form is completed in full.
The district has established criteria for each nomination category:

Player nominees must be Forest City High School graduates and out of school for at least four years. Nominees must have earned all-conference and/or all-state recognition in their sport and demonstrated high-level contributions in athletics and the community.

Coach nominees must have served as a head coach at Forest City High School for at least five years, with teams that competed consistently and at an exemplary level.

Administrators/Athletic directors must have worked in the district for at least five years and shown outstanding support for the development of athletics at Forest City High School.

Contributors/Patrons are recognized for outstanding support or contributions to the growth and success of Forest City athletics.

Team nominations must represent an accomplished group.
The district said inductees will be notified in mid-May. The Hall of Fame recognition ceremony will take place during Forest City’s 2026 Homecoming weekend.
