Healthcare Returns to Buffalo Center with New Clinic Provider

BUFFALO CENTER, Iowa — After a lengthy search, healthcare services are returning to Buffalo Center and surrounding communities with the introduction of a new medical provider.

Clinic officials announced that Kelly Lillie, ARNP, has been selected as the new provider following efforts led by Dr. Welchlin and the Clinic Search Committee. Lillie is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with years of experience in emergency medicine, urgent care, and family practice.

Lillie lives outside of Forest City with her husband, Rick, along with their dogs and a variety of farm animals. She grew up working in her family’s hardware store, an experience clinic officials say helped shape her strong hometown values. A devoted grandmother, Lillie enjoys sharing her love of the outdoors with her grandchildren and has a passion for hunting, fishing, dog training, and competing with Labrador retrievers.

Clinic leaders say Lillie is eager to bring both primary and acute medical care back to residents of Buffalo Center and nearby communities.

Appointments are now being scheduled. Patients can call 507-238-4949 to book in advance. The number routes to the Fairmont Clinic, and callers are asked to request the Buffalo Center Clinic when scheduling.

Clinic officials also expressed gratitude to community members who supported the search process, saying their encouragement played a key role in restoring local healthcare access.
