Community organizers are seeking volunteers to help staff an upcoming youth basketball tournament scheduled for early February.
Organizers say volunteers are needed in a variety of roles to help ensure the tournament runs smoothly for participating athletes and their families. Areas of need include facility setup on Friday, Feb. 6, following varsity basketball games, as well as check-in and admissions, scorekeeping and timekeeping, concessions, refereeing, and post-event cleanup.
Tournament officials noted that referees remain the greatest area of need, though volunteers are encouraged to help in any capacity. Individuals may volunteer for as little as a few hours or for the entire day.
The youth basketball tournament is described as a fast-paced, family-friendly event that provides an opportunity for community members to support local youth athletes and give back through service.

Organizers thanked community members for their continued support, saying the event would not be possible without volunteer involvement.
