Midwest Sled Fest returns to Clear Lake with full day of snowmobile racing

CLEAR LAKE, Iowa — Snowmobile racers and fans will head to the ice in Clear Lake this weekend for Midwest Sled Fest, a long-running winter motorsports event formerly known as The Jack Race.

The event takes place Saturday, Feb. 7, on Clear Lake at the Seawall, a new downtown location for 2026, in front of the State Park. Midwest Sled Fest features snowmobiles ranging from vintage models to current machines, with activities scheduled throughout the day.

Racing events include LeMans-style races, radar runs, and a vintage snowmobile show. Youth racing classes will also be offered, including Kitty Cat, 120, 200, and Snow Scoot divisions.

Check-in and sign-up run from 7 to 8:30 a.m., with races beginning at 10 a.m. Racing will continue throughout the day, and concessions will be available on site.

Organizers say spectators and participants are welcome whether they arrive by snowmobile or by car, encouraging families and racing fans to enjoy a full day on the ice.

More information, including the full race schedule and updates, can be found on Midwest Sled Fest’s Facebook page or at www.midwestsledfest.com. Questions can be directed to (641) 420-0248 or [email protected].
