Peggy Bonzer of rural Nashua, IA died peacefully Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at 9th Street Chautauqua Guest Home in Charles City.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at Trinity United Methodist Church in Charles City with Pastor Don Preston presiding. Inurnment will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery in Nashua at a later date with Chad Simmons, Holly Simmons, Zach Bonzer, Megan Rottinghaus, Michael Koehler, Kaitlyn Porter, Andria Hillegas, Nichloas Koehler, Ethan Bonzer, Alex Koehler, Rylee Peterson.

Friends may greet the family from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Monday, February 16, 2026, at Hugeback – Johnson Funeral Home & Crematory – Olson Chapel in Nashua. Visitation will continue an hour prior to the service at the Church on Tuesday.

Chris was born in Webster City and raised in Charles City, which basically means he’s been corn‑fed and radio‑bred since day one. As a kid, he was always caught singing along to the radio — and while he’ll tell you he’s great at karaoke, let’s just say the audience’s ears often file a noise complaint. When he’s not busy butchering ‘80s power ballads, Chris enjoys starting overly ambitious home projects that rarely make it past the “great idea” stage. He lives in Charles City with his endlessly patient wife Vicki and their kids, Brynlee and Jaxon, who have already perfected the art of the eye‑roll every time Dad cracks another “dad joke.”
