Matt Hoeft with the Floyd County Cattlemen’s Association joined us on Community Conversations to talk about their Annual Fundraiser Banquet coming up Saturday, March 21 at the Floyd County Fairgrounds Youth Enrichment Center. The evening begins with a 5:00 social hour followed by a 6:00 prime rib supper prepared by Flyin’ Bull BBQ using beef from Upper Iowa Beef. The event also includes live and silent auctions, door prizes, and a new gun raffle, with proceeds helping support youth programs and scholarships for Floyd County students.

Tickets are $30 through March 15 and $40 after, and can be purchased through the Floyd County Cattlemen Facebook page or from board members.

Chris Berg

Chris was born in Webster City and raised in Charles City, which basically means he’s been corn‑fed and radio‑bred since day one. As a kid, he was always caught singing along to the radio — and while he’ll tell you he’s great at karaoke, let’s just say the audience’s ears often file a noise complaint. When he’s not busy butchering ‘80s power ballads, Chris enjoys starting overly ambitious home projects that rarely make it past the “great idea” stage. He lives in Charles City with his endlessly patient wife Vicki and their kids, Brynlee and Jaxon, who have already perfected the art of the eye‑roll every time Dad cracks another “dad joke.”
