Forest City School District seeking nominations for 2026 Education Hall of Fame

FOREST CITY — The Forest City Community School District is accepting nominations for the 2026 class of its Education Hall of Fame.

The Hall of Fame honors teachers, administrators, support staff, school board members and friends of the district who have made outstanding contributions to the education of young people in Forest City.

To be eligible, nominees must have at least five years of service to the district. Current teachers, staff and board members are not eligible. Individuals must be retired or no longer working for the district for at least one year before they can be nominated.

According to the district, the nomination committee looks for individuals whose contributions go above and beyond the normal expectations of their role in supporting the district’s educational mission.

Nominations for the 2026 class must be submitted by April 24, 2026.

A downloadable nomination form is available on the district website at
https://www.forestcity.k12.ia.us/district/education-hall-of-fame. Paper nomination forms are also available at the district office, located at 145 S. Clark St. in Forest City.

Inductees will be notified in May and recognized during a ceremony scheduled for August.
