Cedar Falls Man Gets Decade in Prison for Sexual Abuse of Child in North Iowa

A northeast Iowa man will serve a decade in prison for child sex crimes committed more than a decade ago.

43-year-old Isaia Weber of Cedar Falls was accused of engaging in sex acts with a child under the age of 13 on four separate occasions between June 2010 and December 2013. Investigators say three of the incidents occurred at a home in Mason City, while a fourth took place in the parking lot of a Mason City business.

A criminal complaint was filed July 31, 2025 charging Weber originally with four counts of second-degree sexual abuse, all Class B felonies.

As part of a plea agreement, Weber pleaded guilty in Cerro Gordo County District Court to two reduced charges of lascivious acts with a child, Class C felonies.

Weber has been sentenced to a prison term of up to 10 years. Upon release, Weber will be required to register as a sex offender.

Court records also show Weber sentenced to 60 days in jail with credit for time served for trying to coerce a witness in the case. The criminal complaint filed by Mason City Police in August 2025 accused Weber of conspiring with others to have contact with the reporting party and her family,  including offering money to encourage the victim to drop the charges.

Weber was initially charged with tampering, a Class C felony, but agreed to the lesser charge of second-degree harassment, a serious misdemeanor.
