Nora Springs to Host Community Meeting, Launch Survey for Comprehensive Plan

NORA SPRINGS, Iowa — The City of Nora Springs is inviting residents and community members to help shape the city’s future through a public meeting and community survey as part of its new Comprehensive Development Plan.

A community input meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers at City Hall, located at 45 Hawkeye Avenue. City officials say the meeting will serve as a kickoff to the planning process, which aims to create a long-term vision for Nora Springs over the next 20 years.

Officials are encouraging anyone who lives or works in Nora Springs to attend and share their perspectives. Feedback gathered during the meeting will play a key role in forming the foundation of the plan.

In addition to the meeting, the city has launched a community survey to collect input on residents’ priorities, concerns and ideas. The results will help guide decisions on economic development, housing, parks and open space, infrastructure, land use and development, and city services.

The survey is available online at: bit.ly/4u97dPT and is expected to take approximately 10–15 minutes to complete.

For those unable to access the survey online, printed copies are available at City Hall and the Nora Springs Public Library. Completed paper surveys can be returned to City Hall.
