Floyd County ISU Extension Highlights Summer Camps, Fair Deadlines, and “Stay Independent” Program

The Floyd County ISU Extension joined KCHA Community Conversations Friday morning to talk about several upcoming programs, summer day camps, important 4-H fair deadlines, and a new “Stay Independent” program for older adults. Michelle Schubert was joined by new Floyd County ISU Extension Director Kailey Einspahr, who recently wrapped up her first week with the organization. The interview covered everything from gardening and STEM camps for kids to preparations already underway for the Floyd County Fair season.

Chris was born in Webster City and raised in Charles City, which basically means he’s been corn‑fed and radio‑bred since day one. When he’s not busy butchering ‘80s power ballads, Chris enjoys starting overly ambitious home projects that rarely make it past the “great idea” stage. He lives in Charles City with his endlessly patient wife Vicki and their kids, Brynlee and Jaxon, who have already perfected the art of the eye‑roll every time Dad cracks another “dad joke.”
