Garner to Make Tornado Siren Improvements

Garner officials have been working on the civil defense systems to alert the residents in the event of a tornado, according to Garner Mayor Tim Schmidt.

To make sure that the new applications worked, Schmidt took it upon himself to verify that the system worked.

Storms continue to intensify in the area and Schmidt feels that preparation is the key.

Schmidt and the Garner City Council are moving forward in adding more defensive capabilities to aid residents when they need to.
