Second Street NW in Mason City to Close Monday for Utility Work

MASON CITY, Iowa — Second Street Northwest will close for about one week starting Monday, Aug. 31, as crews perform utility service installation work, the Mason City Engineering Department said.

The road will be fully closed to all traffic from the west side of North Federal Avenue to North Enterprise Alley, according to the department. Between North Enterprise Alley and North Washington Avenue, the street will remain closed to through traffic.

City officials did not specify a firm reopening date, saying the closure is expected to last approximately one week.
