College Drive Near NIACC to Close Sept. 8 for Eight-Day Utility Project

MASON CITY, Iowa — College Drive near North Iowa Area Community College will close for about eight days starting Sept. 8 as crews complete utility improvements in the area, the city’s Engineering Department announced.

The closure will affect College Drive between 12th Street and Highway 122, according to the department. A detour will route traffic along California Avenue during the work.

City officials said the closure is necessary to complete utility upgrades in the corridor. No additional details on the scope of the utility work were provided.
